How To Help

How can you help PAL?

Thank you for considering a donation to the Richmond Police Athletic League (PAL) program! Richmond PAL is a non-profit organization that is managed and sustained through the work of police officers from the Richmond Police Department. Our goal is to provide support to inner-city youth through three foundational pillars: mentorship, education, and access to sports and recreational activities. The need for programs, such as Richmond PAL, is evidenced through the following crime and educational data:

  • 72% of crimes committed by juveniles, such as vandalism, breaking and entering, and assault could be abated with strong mentorship, educational support and access to sports and recreational activities
  • 64% of children and adolescents in the City of Richmond are economically disadvantaged
  • 50% or more of students score below proficient on state exams
  • Approximately 20% of students drop out of school due to various obstacles which often impede their success

We believe that supporting our children through these three areas are critical to helping to reshape the futures of our children and build a stronger and safer Richmond community. However, we cannot do it without your help! Please consider joining us as we continue our work in “helping kids to become champions in life."
