Summer Program
The
PAL Summer Program is a partnership between the Richmond Police
Department and the City's Parks and Recreation Department. In the
last nine years, this program has served over 2000 kids between
the ages of six and fifteen from the city of Richmond.
The PAL Summer Program is designed to provide Richmond’s youth with a safe environment to participate in a wide variety of sports and educational opportunities. Past participants have enjoyed playing kickball, flag football, soccer, and basketball, while also experiencing a chance to learn about photography and fishing. In past years, the program has included field trips to Kings Dominion, Washington Nationals baseball game, Water Country USA, Independence Golf course and the Children’s Museum. The PAL Summer Program encourages its participants to broaden their horizons and focuses on the positive relationships between cops and kids, reminding kids of their responsibility to be good citizens.
The PAL Summer Program provides enriching experiences and role
models developing healthy relationships between cops and kids. Cops
helping kids become champions in life.

Summer Program details:
- Children between the ages of 6-15 years of age as of August
1, 2010
- King's Dominion season pass included in the price for those participating in both sessions
- Program Hours are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday
- Session I: June 28-July 22, 2010 - Cost per session $300
(limited to 205 kids)
- Session II: July 26-Aug. 20, 2010 - Cost per session $300
(limited to 205 kids)
- Those participating in only one session must also pay for or provide their season pass to King's Dominion (price $65)
- Money orders, Checks or Cash are accepted forms of payment. Deposit of $100.00 due at time
of registration to hold the spot for your child.
Balance due by May 1. NO REFUNDS! Balances not paid in full by May 1st will cause your spot to be opened to someone on the waiting list
