Boxing and Martial Arts Program
The Boxing Program is a partnership between the Richmond Police Department and the City's Parks and Recreation Deparment. Headed by boxing coach Jerry Royster the boxing program is Monday to Friday from 5pm-9pm for kids ages 6-18 at the PAL Boxing Gym located at 1365 Overbrook Road.
Boxing instills discipline, self confidence, concentration and physical fitness.
Program Details
Beginning Boxing
Participants: Ages: Youth 6-18 Adult over 18
Fee: $25 youth and $35 adult (per month)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, January 4 - June 18, 2010, 5pm- 6pm
Structure: Small class size
Advanced Boxing
Participants: Ages: Youth 6-18 Adult over 18
Fee: $25 youth and $35 adult (per month) and one time $40 USA Boxing fee
Schedule: Monday-Friday, January 4 - ongoing, 6pm- 9pm
Structure: Group
All boxers are asked to join USA Boxing. Each boxer is asked to bring two small photos and a cop of your birth record.
Martial Arts Program (Tang soo do)
Participants: Ages: Youth 6-Adult
Fee: $25 youth and $35 adult (per month)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, January 4 - June 16, 6pm- 8pm
Structure: Learn Martial Arts in small group classes
