Lacrosse Winter Indoor Program 2012

The Richmond Police Athletic League will once again be offering its Winter Indoor Lacrosse Program, kicking off with a free Lacrosse Clinic and Registration day scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 12 noon - 1pm. Please go to www.raceit.com to register online for the 2012 Indoor Lax league, or register in person on December 3rd. You may also register by mail. PAL and SCOR are teaming up for the sixth consecutive winter, and we have grown each year. More growth is expected this coming winter, so please sign up early online or mail your registration to our PAL office, now located at SCOR. The clinic and the league will be held at SCOR, located at 1405 Overbrook Road in Richmond. Go to SCOR for more information about SCOR
- Minors (7 to 9 years old): 10 am - 11 am and 11 am - Noon
- Juniors (10 to 12 years old): 8 - 9 am, 9 - 10 am
- Seniors (13 to 15 years old): Noon - 1 pm, 1- 2 pm
- Instructional (Coed, 6 & 7 years old): 11-12 on small field
The PAL Indoor Lacrosse Program is a non-instructional program (for kids 7-15), with an instructional program for six/seven-year-old boys and girls. Although RPAL encourages anyone interested in playing the sport of Lacrosse to sign up, some knowledge of lacrosse will be helpful. The season will consist of 6 games and will be played on the following days:
- Sunday January 8, 8 am-2 pm
- Sunday January 15, 8 am-2 pm
- Sunday January 22, 8 am-2 pm
- Sunday January 29, 8 am-2 pm
- Sunday February 5, 8 am-2 pm
- Sunday February 12, 8 am-2 pm
Registration will start November 1, 2011.
The cost of the program this year will be $120.00 (includes a reversible penny). Teams will be formed at a later date. There are no practices during the week, just show up at your scheduled time and play your game. We need volunteers for every team to be there at each game. Teams will consist of maximum 14-16 players and will play 7v7 with a goalie. Ages 6-7 will play 5 v 5 30-minute skills training and a 30-minute game. Kids can chose to play up if they desire. Each child must have his or her own equipment: stick, helmet, shoulder pads and gloves. For more information or directions to the SCOR facility click here.
